My Brain Hurts...
I recently came across this on Stumbleupon, and at first I was like assumed it was either pointillism/mosaic structures using only paint on a canvas, but as I scrolled down the work of Peter Fecteau, and looked closer it was much more than that. Peter is strategically and mathematically creating an image of Dr. Martin Luther King using only Rubik’s Cubes...
4,242 to be precise.
Like I said, my brain hurts.
Peter used my own algorithms for solving the faces. He has stated that, "I averaged 20 seconds
per cube. It took 40 hours to build, by myself."
Impressive.
The project cost approximately $8000, but thanks to YouCanDoTheCube.com, they graciously allowed Peter to borrow many, many cubes to complete his project.
